la dolce vita, beverly hills.

august 2023

la dolce vita is not the type of restaurant we normally frequent, but we were looking for something fun and very LA to celebrate a special occasion.

boulevardier: woodford reserve, cocchi di torino, tempus fugit gran classico.

the cocktails were excellent, with entire sections dedicated to both negronis and martinis.

ldv gibson martini: bombay sapphire, carpano dry vermouth, house made brine, black garlic, pickled garden vegetables.

bread basket.

caesar salad: parmigiano reggiano, sicilian anchovy, torn croutons.

mussels marinara: salt spring mussels, white wine, basil.

we loved that they had salt spring mussels (far superior to the usual PEI, in our opinion), and both the bucatini and veal were delicious. it was a lovely, bustling, vibe-y experience, and one we were happy to have checked off the LA bucketlist.

bucatina al limoni: cultured butter, preserved lemon, parmigiano reggiano.

veal parmigiana: bone in veal chop, marinara, mozzarella, fresh basil.

veal section.

negroni perfetto: fords gin, campari, carpano antica; family bond: woodford reserve rye, gentleman jack, cocchi torino, demerara, bitters.
