Dec 22 baby, it's cold outside. eat some ramen!

this cold, drizzly LA weather is wondrous. and you know what pairs wonderfully with it? a delicious bowl of ramen, and ramen champ in chinatown is a damn good choice. and their chicken karaage comes in perfectly crispy drumpsticks loaded up with lots of scallions.

tonkotsu with slow cooked chasu, seasoned egg, mushrooms, green onions and black sesame oil.

tonkotsu tan tan with tonkotsu broth, seasoned egg, komatsuna green, roasted white sesame, chili and hotmeat sauce seasoned with sichuan peppercorns and garlic.

both their tonkotsu and tonkotsu tan tan (if you're feeling the extra warmth of some chinese mala spice) really hit the spot on nights like tonight. and don't forget to add on that perfectly cooked seasoned farm egg - it really is perfectly cooked and oh-so-good for dipping your noodles in.
